As you know, Always-on display is battery consuming. Auto screen wake is great, but sometimes I have to twist my hand more than the usual to turn it on. The push button option is good, but not as practical as tapping the screen. 

This feature would make things really smooth and functioning better.

Hi @SunsetRunner, I'm glad to let you know this is an existing feature. You will find this information on Fitbit Versa 2 manual on page 16. Navigate Versa 2 by tapping the screen, swiping side to side and up and down, or pressing the button. To preserve battery, the watch’s screen turns off when not in use, unless you turn on the always-on display setting. For more information, see "Adjust Always-On Display" on the manual page 22.
