Ace 2 avatars and background images not working

Got my girls their first FitBits for their birthday. One of the selling points was being able to customize their profile in the fitbit app by choosing one of the cute avatars and the background image/cover photo. To clarify, I am not trying to upload their own photo because I know you can’t do that. I’m trying to choose one of the animal avatars for their user pic and the candy/unicorn/etc background for the cover photo in their kid profile in the app. I’m trying to choose these *from the stock images that FitBit provides as Ace 2 options*. I keep getting errors in the app for both instances stating “Uploading photo failed. Please try again later.”

 

I have force-quit the app and signed out, then signed back in. I have deleted the app the reinstalled and signed in. I have re-booted my phone (iPhone 8 plus) and updated to latest iOS (13.3.1) and tried everything again and still no change or luck. I have taken this issue to @FitBitSupport on Twitter with specific screen shots carefully explaining and illustrating my problem. They keep thinking I  trying to upload a personal photo of my kids and I 👏🏻 AM 👏🏻 NOT👏🏻 . And then all they say is “Thanks for the screenshots. We’re here for you.” Uh, thanks but no thanks. I’m not looking for THAT kind of support, FitBit.

 

Can ANYONE in the community help me?

I am here also looking for that answer. I’ve got the same issue. Avatars and backgrounds are not working and I am also getting an error message... 😞

I having the same issue, looking on here for a solution also.  We are getting the same error message, again not trying to use personal images just the pre-installed fit ace 2 avatar and backgrounds.

 

FITBIT do you have a solution.

I am having the same issue. I am trying to set up my child's account and when I click the camera icon to change the profile and background photo its not working. I click the avatar picture then it says unable to set photo.
