Ace 2 counts active minutes during charging

The active mins have something wrong with it. Whenever we charge the Fitbit, it starts counting active mins. So basically as an example my  son wears his Fitbit Ace 2 and plays in his backyard and he has 7,000 steps and 20 active mins. His battery is low so we charge it. Then, when it's fully charged, he has 7,000 steps and 70 active mins. What is happening???

Hi @SunsetRunner, it's nice to see you in our Community Forums.

I am sorry to hear your son's Ace 2 is counting active minutes during charging. Thanks for the details shared, I am glad to assist you with that. While the tracker shouldn't count the active minutes during charging, I would like to confirm if syncing the tracker before charging resolves the issue? It's possible that the tracker syncs during charging and this is why you see more active minutes.

Looking forward to your response.

Actually, we turned on 'Always Sync' a few months ago. Should I turn it off?

Thank you for your reply, @SunsetRunner.

I appreciate the information that you have 'Always Sync' turned on. I recommend to keep it on and try to make sure the tracker syncs before charging in order to confirm the issue.

I'll be looking forward to your reply.

Just as sudden, it stops...? We didn't even do anything. Maybe the tracker was just glitching or something like that. Thx for the help, @LiliyaFitbit.
