Can someone please help me to get the two aces to show up on our family account ? It only seems to allow one ace device - is that an error ?! Seems silly I can add both kids to family but not  on devices ?! Please help

Hi, @Jspecht, you can definitely set up two Aces on one family account but you have to set up each Ace under "kid view" NOT on your account.

In order to follow the instructions you will need to have both Aces handy, but it can be a good idea to put one out of Bluetooth range while you are setting up the other, because they can sometimes interfere with each other.

So the way to do it, once you have set up your family account, which it seems like you have already done, on your app, click on "My family".  Scroll down and click on Kid 1, and then choose, "Switch to kid view". Make sure their Ace is nearby (and ideally the other one is not).  When you are in Kid view for Kid 1, choose, "set up a kid compatible tracker now" and then follow the instructions.  (Don't worry if you have already set it up on your own account -- it will disappear from your account as soon as it is set up under the correct child.

Okay, having set up the first Ace, you now need to move it well out of the way (out of Bluetooth range) and choose "Switch to parent view".

You will then need to enter your password and you will be logged out of the app.  Please log back in again, and repeat the process with Kid 2 and Ace 2.  That is:

Under My Family, choose the name for Kid 2, then choose "Switch to Kid view".  Once you are in Kid view for Kid 2 , choose "Set up a kid compatible tracker" etc and follow the instructions once again.

When you are done, both kid trackers should be set up... Hopefully you will have chosen different coloured bands for eaxh one so they don't get muddled up, because once everyone is stepping and getting into family competitions you are going to have at least double trouble!

Please post again if anything is unclear -- there is always someone here to help!

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Hi. I’m also trying to set up two different ace fitbits for my two kids. I’m trying to follow your instructions but can see the “change to child view option”. Please can you help? Thanks

Hi, @Megj8, did you mean you can NOT see change to child view?

Yu won't see that until you add a kid to yur family account.  Once you have set up a famioy account you need to add a child.  Once you have added a child you can click on the child's name to find the switch to child view option.

If this still isn't working for you, please let us know whether you are using iOS, Android or Windows 10 for more specific instructions.  Also please confirm whether you have created a Family Account.

I hope this helps.  Welcome to the forums, and happy holidays!  I hope the kids enjoy their new Fitbits.

Hi

I have added a family account and one child. I don’t seem to be able to find child’s view once in the child. I also don’t seem to be able to add a second child.

I’m on an iPhone 8

Thanks

Hi, @Megj8 from the Family Account click on yur child's name and then scroll down to "Switch to child view".

To add a second child you need to return to Parent View.  To do that when in Kid View click on the Account icon (that's the small rectangular icon top right that is meant to look like an ID card.  When you are in the Account screen scroll down and you will see "Switch to Parent View".  You will need to enter your password to return to parent view and then you can add another child.

I have added both children to account and was able to pair the first device (Ace) no problem. I have struggled all day to pair the 2nd device. I have followed all previous instructions. I get as far as entering the 4 digit code and then it just says connecting, times out and offers me suggestions of turning Bluetooth off/on, make sure other devices are not near and make sure device is on/charged. Glad you have asked this I’m having the same problem from a usability perspective my experience so far hasn’t been great. It feels as though the process for setting up the ace2 for kids is ridiculously complicated.

Whoever designed the app, didn't think well about usability at all! Wouldn't it be easier to keep all family members and devices at the same level, instead of navigating up and down the tree? I hope you guys make is more intuitive.
