Ace 2 not tracking all sleep

Hi,

We got my 5 year old an Ace 2 last week. I have noticed that the sleep tracker stops when he gets up during the night. He sometimes gets into bed with us and goes back to sleep, but the sleep tracker doesn't recognize that he is back asleep. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Gren5.

Thank you for the information provided.

In this case, I would recommend restarting your son's Fitbit Ace 2 by following these instructions.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. It stopped tracking the sleep completely after the first night, so I had to restart it. Now it is tracking until he gets up during the night to go to the bathroom or get in bed with us, and then doesn't track anymore sleep after that. I will try to restart it again.

I had to restart it to get it to track at all after it stopped the second day we got it. I restarted it again yesterday. Is there a way to make the Ace 2 track sleep better? It says my son only slept from 11:01-3:15 last night, but show him stationary from 3:17-5:37. I know he was asleep before 9:00 and didn't get up for the day until after 6:00. Would the watch not tracking the sleep be due to him moving or being restless? Is there anything I can do about this? The sleep tracking was one of the reasons we got this for him. Thank you.

Thanks for your responses, @Gren5.

The Fitbit Ace 2 should start tracking sleep when your son returns from the bathroom and then split the sleep in 2 sessions. When his body is completely at rest and he hasn’t moved for about an hour, the Fitbit device should record that he's asleep.
