Ace 2 shows almost no stats in the app

I have a Charge 3 for myself and like everything I can track in the app. I got my son an Ace 2. The only way to see his data appears to be kid view. The app shows "track your exercise" in kid view. That's it. Not calories. Not sleep. Not heart rate, not steps. Basically, it shows one thing.

The discover tab shows sleep and hourly steps can be added. Sweet! Oh wait, click on them and they're greyed out. Yeah. What an utter waste of money this Ace 2 has been. Its almost like I bought a Fitbit device that has nothing to do with the app even though it's obviously connected.

Is there a way around all of this? Here's what I want:

1. A cheaper device that fits my 7 year old so it won't fall off (Ace 2)

2. To see all the same stats for him that I can see for myself, even if that means it's connected to his iPad instead of my phone, for example.

Thanks.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @geminirand. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the difficulty you're experiencing with viewing your son's stats. Thank you for providing the additional details. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help you. First, I recommend making sure your son's Ace 2 is set up properly. Please check this help article for steps to set up Ace 2 tracker: How do I set up Ace or Ace 2 for my child?

Syncing is the process that transfers the data the tracker collects to your child’s account in the Fitbit app. Please find the steps to sync the tracker here. I also recommend checking Ace 2 manual for more information about the tracker.
