Ace 2 stats not showing in the app

Have downloaded the app to my daughters device for her Fitbit Ace 2 but it only shows “cals”. I pressed edit but it will only let me remove Cals, Track Exercise, Log Water etc. I can’t add her step count! Anyone know how? Thanks
