Ace 2 tracks a high amount of steps

I purchased Ace last Friday, started to register and pair it with the mobile phone. On the same day, within 2 hours, it shows that my child moves 3800+ steps while he was just at home not having much activities in the evening.

The next day, when I checked my phone, I suddenly realised the records showing the steps since last Monday while I just purchased the phone last Friday.

For the following 2 days, I was trying to monitor his steps and I noticed that the steps were much higher compared to his physical movements. At the same time, it was about 2000+ steps difference (compared to my phone) although we were together most of the time.

@LIANN, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your child's Fitbit Ace 2 since it displays a high amount of steps. Thank you for taking the time to monitor the behavior before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to restart the Ace 2 as described in this help article. This will refresh the tracker internally. Finally, make sure that your child is not wearing the band too tight and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀
