Ace 2 will not set up correctly - stuck on "connecting" phase of set up.

My kid's Ace 2 will not set up properly. It is stuck on the "connecting" phase after entering the pairing code. I have tried everything - unpairing, repairing to Bluetooth, restarting the Ace 2. Beyond frustrated at this point. I had set it up just fine this summer, but now I need to resynch as the time is off and it does not work.
