Ace 2 won't turn on after charging

My daughter has an ace 2 but after charging it when I take it off charge when it's full it turns off. I've tried long restarting it but nothing happens. It's been like this for a long time but my daughter has just told me. It is a year old and hasn't worked for 6 months.
