Ace 3 getting parents text messages

I got my granddaughter an Ace 3 for Christmas.  Her mother set it up with her phone but the Ace is now getting the mother's text messages.  How do we turn that off?

@k9smom Did she set a family account and add the Ace to the child account? Steps to do that are here.

I have a similar issue.  I have twins and each had their own Ace 3.   I set up their individual profiles on the family account.  I , too, have a Fitbit device.   I can’t figure out how to turn off that feature on her Ace 3.  I don’t want this to be an issue any time I’m close to their devices.  Nothing I’ve found on the forums has worked, thus far.
