I bought the fit bit ace 3 a month ago and we have been trying everything to get the sleep tracker working. We have reset it several times. I’ve tried wearing it myself and nothing seems to work. I’m not finding much info except that it should be tracking pretty easily on its own. My other child has the fit bit ace 2 and that tracks sleep well. What can o do at this point?

Is there any update on this? I have purchased Ace3 for my son in December, exchanged it already as it is not tracking sleep and not recognising excessive either. Very dissatisfied

How will we know when an update is available to fix this issue that has been known to Fitbit since May of 2021? How can there not be a fix to this issue yet?

Hi - I’m reading the community for the first time and this post covers my exact problem. We got my son an Ace3 for Christmas. The sleep tracker worked for about two nights then hasn’t worked again since. We’ve restarted and rest the device and neither of those things worked. Reading the above it appears this is a known issue. Is there an update, noting the last post was 20 days ago?

I have two Fitbit ace 3s set up with different children's accounts on my Fitbit app. If I am in "parent view" on the app, neither of them show sleep data. If I to one of the child's accounts on my app and leave it there, that child will receive sleep data but the other will not. It looks like the sleep data has to come from their server and I can only happen when on their account. Give this a try and see if it works, but it really should work no matter what.

@trep thanks a lot for your tip, I will try tomorrow morning with my son's ACE 3 (who actually doesn't want to wear it any longer because of this bug).
@EdsonFitbit in the meanwhile what are the developers saying about this bug resolution?

The sleep data doesn't show up on my two Fitbit Ace devices. My kids complained about that.
However, I have them linked to my Android Fitbit app via a Family setup. I can see their sleep data on my phone.
I do believe early on, one of the Fitbit Ace devices did show sleep data at least one time. My kids don't bother trying to find anymore, so it's hard to know the frequency at which it happens. Every time we have looked, it's been missing on the Fitbit Ace screen.
My kids would love to have this sleep feature work on their Fitbit Ace device.

This night my 6 years old daughter tried her Ace 3 again after long time and this morning No sleep data was displayed also it is recorded in the dashboard. I can't believe nobody from Fitbit is investigating this bug.
@FbitUser5321 my daughter is upset as well and she said she doesn't want to use it any longer.

Bought an Ace 3 for my son in June 2022 and we are also experiencing this problem.
Having been a Fitbit customer for several years I am very disappointed that over 15 months on from the original post that Fitbit haven’t provided a fix for this known problem.
When can we expect to see a fix for this issue?

I see this was addressed on 12/30/21... it is now 8/12/22 and there has not been any update to this? I just got an ACE 3 for my kid's birthday in July. It is not tracking sleep at all. I'm not even referring to the sleep stages, but the sleep duration. So the information online about the tracker is misleading. What is fitbit doing to resolve this? Why are people still misled about what features are available on the trackers? I would have gone with a different brand had I known this was a very long-going issue.

It still doesn't work well. I suspect it's because my kid's Fitbit is only paired with my phone and the sleep data only will work if you keep the app paired with your child's Fitbit instead of your own Fitbit.
Has anyone tried to put the Fitbit app on your child's tablet? It might give better results because it will always be the set to your child's profile. My reasoning is that I noticed the sleep dad only seems to work when I switch my app to my child's profile in the family parent view, then sync it, and ask my child to look. Note this doesn't always work, but seems like at least 50% of the time it will work.

Same problem for us. Ace 3 purchased Nov 2022. All updates applied. Watch says "no data" under sleep despite the android app showing everything perfectly. Changing clock faces does not resolve problem.
Poor show fitbit. It has been 18 months since this thread was started. You clearly do not care about this issue.

Doesn't look like it. Neither of the Ace 3s we bought the kids will track sleep.
So disappointed in Fitbit, this has been happening for years apparently.

Exactly same here. I'll wait until the return window closes at the end of January and if no solution is found will return it as defective.

Any update to this? Seems this is still an issue a full year later as we are having the same problem with our kids’ 3 new Fitbit devices.

You should remove the anseered from this thread because it seems to be a widespread issue that Fitbit has no intention to fix,. Almost 2 years of complaints is unacceptable. The ace should be on the DO NOT BUY LIST
