Ace 3 started day with 10,004 steps

My kid’s Ace 3 is only a couple of weeks old. This morning it buzzed about meeting her goal when she put it on.
I have removed the device, plugged it in and chose to reset the data, and resynced and when it rebooted it instantly congratulated me for reaching the goal.
As far as I was aware that was a factory reset?

Factory resetting the device is useless because evidently the steps are already recorded in your kid profile and when you connect it back to his account it retrieve the profile information.

What happened is actually not so uncommon for all other Fitbit devices and in this case the solution is to manually input an activity with no steps involved that overwrites the steps (taking them to 0).

And here is the problem: not only the Ace (1, 2, 3) doesn't allow to track activities (although the in-app manual advertise this) but it's not even possible to manually input an activity via app.
