Ace 3 stops counting steps on treadmill

So annoying!  My son's Ace 3 counts steps and seems to stop counting when he's on the treadmill.  Sometimes it will count and sometimes it doesn't or just stops counting.  What gives?

Hi @SpamMusubi  wrist based devices need the arms to be swinging in order to recognize the steps. Might be holding to the treadmill makes some of the steps to be uncounted. Could that be the case?

@SpamMusubi  why not try putting the Fitbit into a pocket or inside the sock while on the treadmill. Others on the forums have done that and it seems to get those steps counted.
