Ace always turns off, won’t charge properly

My sons Ace would always randomly switch itself off and then would always need syncing to sort the time right again. Tried to reset it, now it doesn’t vibrate when charger is attached and the battery only ever shows as 3/4 charged, and when not on charge the battery shows that it is still on charge.

Cam anyone help me??

Hi, @Jacs_80 , have you tried giving the Ace a restart?  A restart can fix many problems. Here are the instructions (from the user manual)

“Press the button on the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into the computer. 8 seconds after the first button press, the Fitbit logo appears on the tracker's display. This indicates that Ace restarted.”

You may need to repeat this a couple of times, as a single restart des not always wrk.

As the issue seems partly about charging, you should also make sure that the charging contacts are clean.  Here’s how:

How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device to ensure they stay bronze or gold in color: Use a toothbrush with rubbing alcohol. Dry with a cloth or tissue before charging. ...
  • Clean the pins on your charging cable: Clean the pins carefully with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol.
I hope this helps.  Welcome to the forums!
