Ace hard to charge and not holding a charge

We have a fitbit ace that is only a couple of weeks old.

My daughter went to charge it the other day. Within 2 hours of charging the battery was dead again.

Now it is hit or miss on getting it to charge. The unit makes a buzz when it is connected but the charge symbol does not come on, typially just a "!". When we are able to get it to charge the charge does not last long.

Have tried to do the reset, but unable to get it to setset. It just shows the battery symbol.
