Ace keeps turning off

We got my son his fitbit ace for Christmas and it randomly turns off even when the battery is not dead. He'll charge it and then it will just shut off in the middle of the day. The only way to get it back on is by putting it on the charger. This gets really annoying when it is doing this every day or two.

So this experience has been pretty disappointing. Fitbit would only replace the Ace with the Ace 2 due to inventory, but my son is almost 11 and doesn't like the look of the Ace 2 because it looks to little kid like. I ended up taking the replacement because they wouldn't offer me anything different and will be using it for one of his younger siblings.

So I instead bought another Fitbit Ace online hoping it was just a fluke with the first. Now this one is doing the same thing. I have again tried restarting it and cleaning the charging parts like was recommended with the first Ace that we purchased. It still continues to randomly shut off nearly every day. This is so frustrating.
