Ace not showing accurate steps in the app

My boys both received an Ace for Christmas. The steps on the actual device do not match what is on the app when synced.  I am hoping there is a way to fix it.

I'm glad to hear that your boys received Ace trackers for Christmas. I would like you to make sure that there aren't activities logged in his account, this can affect the data that the Ace is syncing. Could you provide me with a screenshot of what you're seeing in his app and a picture of what you're seeing in his Ace?
