Why do the kids app for these devices only have terrible choices for their pictures in their profiles... Surely for kids up to age 13 there should be more options?? 

Or should I have got my 11 yr old a different device?

I agree.  I feel that kids should be able to have their own picture as their Avatar, as long as it’s okay with their parent(s) and/or caregiver.

Also my kids want to have their cats in the secondary picture but the only choices

available are cartoon murals.  It’s a little tiresome for them.
