Alternative to Ace for kids??

I am so upset! 

 

My daughters Ace 1 fell off at school and someone took it. Fitbit gave me a discount voucher and we bought an Ace 2. Just a few months later the Ace 2 fell out of the strap and she's lost it. It shouldn't fall out that easy!! She didn't even take it off, she had been wearing it and noticed it had fallen out. 

 

This is a terrible design! I can't pay out for another one. Even with the discount voucher I still spent money on a brand new one and theres no way to find it, it wont sync so heaven knows where it is. Yet again, someone else will just find and take it because theres no way to block lost devices. 

 

We have a family account but I either need to eventually buy her an adult one or I call it a day in fitbit for kids. I cant pay another 50 pounds, so done with fitbit.

Update - I found it, it was charged but failing to sync, so we have it back by a miracle! But Ita falling out far too easily so I dont want her taking it outside, Its brand new so it's just not goos if it falls out so easily

 

Is this a one off or a wider problem with Ace 2?
