Brand new Fit Bit Ace 2 won't turn on

Hi, 

 

I hope someone can help. My daughter had her fit bit for her birthday yesterday and it won't turn on for some reason. It chraged and synced initially to the my phone whilst I was setting things up via the app and since it started updating the screen has gone blank and remains blank. 

 

I have tried holding the button in for 5 seconds several times and tried syncing to app but it can't detect the watch. The phone has been on charge all night too.

Just don't leave the device on the charger more than a few hours. It shouldn't take that long to charge. Let us know what happens.
