Can Ace sync to my phone without it being close by

Are we able to sync the kids Ace bit if they aren't close to the phone.  I've been trying to sync them on my family account all day and they haven't been syncing.  This tells me that they don't sync without being close by...

Can anyone help?

The tracker has to be within bluetooth connection distance from the phone, possibly up to about 50 feet away but preferably closer to be more reliable.  Data uses bluetooth to get from tracker to phone, then wifi or phone data to travel between phone and fitbit database in the cloud.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@kidmom Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding your inquiry, my friend @JohnnyRow is totally right. Your children trackers need to be within range of your phone in order to have their stats synced.

In addition, I'd like to share the Ace manual so you can see the features that it offers.

I'll be sitting next to my son and try to sync his Ace and it will not sync.  Sometimes takes over an hour or two for it to sync to my phone (even when I push the sync button).  Why is that happening?  My fitbit syncs just fine.

@esl2979 Thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your son's Ace is not syncing or takes a long time to sync his data. I'd like you to restart his Ace as described in this help article. This will refresh his tracker internally.

Also, make sure that your phone has the most recent app version installed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy
