Can I set up a Fitbit Ace on iPhone 4?

Purchased Ace for grandbaby who has an iPhone 4s but app won't download because the iOS caps at 9 on this device.  Ironically the app was on the phone until it was reset and now does not appear as an option in the iTunes store.  Absolutely can not afford a more expensive phone for an eight year old.  Please advise.

I’m sorry to tell you, @K2R, that due to limits of technology, Fitbit devices need iOS 10 or higher. I understand budget restrictions for a youngster, but the phone is not compatible.

@K2R Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding your inquiry, my friend @SunsetRunner is totally correct. I'm afraid that the iPhone 4S is not a supported device. Please check out this help article which contains a list of the compatible devices with Fitbit trackers.

Let @SunsetRunner and me know if you have any doubts! Smiley Happy
