Hello
My child had just got the Fitbit Ace 3. I have created a daily account and then his account under mine
his friend has sent him a friend request. I have had an email to say this but as main guardian I must approve it.
But when I click the link to do this it takes me to the app and the notification isn’t there and I can’t approve. I have been through all my settings and his and the same keeps happening
does anyone know how I can add his friend?

To approve the request, tap the link in the email, or switch to parent view and tap Notifications. Then tap the notification and approve it.
With that said another individual I saw here on the forums asked this question as well facing the same/similar situation as your experiencing. They responded “discovered you need to be in parents view to view the request .. approve and then go back to child’s view to see added friend to accept .. complicated”
It does sound a tad bit complicated but maybe that observation will help you navigate to the ability to accept your child’s friends request. I don’t personally have a child with a Fitbit so I can’t duplicate the issue to view on my end to try and navigate through.

Hi @ghta. Welcome to Community Forums.
I appreciate you shared with the community the difficulties you experienced to add friends in your Ace 3. @SunsetRunner thanks for the help and information provided.
If you haven't already, I'd recommend you check on how to add friends to a Family Account by visiting this article and open the menu "How does my child add friends in the Fitbit app?". Remember that your family members added to the family account are automatically added as friends.
If you continue having the same problem, please try the following:
- Log out from your Fitbit account
- Reboot your phone
- Log back into your Fitbit account
- Try again to add friends to your child's Ace 3 profile
