I see there are threads on this dating back more than a year. This bug is NOT FIXED. I followed all the instructions on those “resolved” threads, including having to set up an individual gmail account for my six-year-old (!). Still, I am unable to add a child in the FitBit app, and if I log into FitBit as her, the set-up just cycles back to the first page when you hit “continue” in an endless loop.
This is maddening and I’ve already wasted hours. If it can’t be fixed asap, I want my money back.

I just tried to complete the same steps as you mentioned for 2 days now and nothing really happens. It is very frustrating.
