Can't get back to home screen on Ace 3

Twice my kid has gotten her new Ace 3 on a screen and completely unable to get back to the home screen.  First time she got stuck on the timer screen and now she is stuck on a screen that says "Add alarms in the Fitbit Mobile App"

 

How do I just back to the home screen?

 

I tried the hard reboot the first time.  It worked - but I'd like a solution that my daughter can use more easily.
