Can't join Fitbit family account - 404 error

My wife has invited my join family account but every time I click on the invite it shows "The operation coundn't be completed. ( com.fitbit.HTTP error 404. ).

 

She has added me as a friend

I have changed my privacy settings "Age" to public

Family request shows as sent in her "My Family" invite page, showing me as being sent an invite.

I have only received one invite, nothing in my inbox, junk/spam or deleted folder.

 

Does the invite link expire at some time so it can be resent ?? Can we force another invite to be sent ?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that you receive an error message when you try to join the Fitbit family account. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am glad to assist you. I understand your concern and recommend trying the following:

 

  1. Log out of the app.
  2. Force quit the app and check if it is updated to the latest version by following these steps.
  3. Log into the Fitbit app and check if the issue persists.
