Can't join Fitbit family account

I have been added to a family account, but when I click to join it says I am

already part of a family group.  However I have no previously set up family account showing for me to leave.  How do I join the new family group I have been invited to?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the difficulty you're experiencing trying to join a Fitbit family account. Thank you for providing the additional details, I am glad to help. If you continue experiencing this issue, please try the following:

 

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
  5. Try to join the family account by following the steps from this help article: How do I join a Fitbit family account?
