Can't read text messages on Ace 3

On the Fitbit app it says that I can send my child a text message or a message can a read it on their watch or do they have to have their own phone set up to be able to read it?

Thank you for informing us about the issues you experienced with your Fitbit Ace 3.

 

Ace series (Ace, Ace 2 and Ace 3) only receive call notifications as stated in this article in the menu "Which notifications can I see on my Fitbit device?".

If your child is not receiving call notifications, please make sure Do No Disturb (DND) and Sleep Mode are turned off on your Ace 3. For instructions on how to navigate your Tracker, please visit this article.

 

Our team is constantly working to improve our products and services but at the moment there are no plans to add sms or third party text notifications to Ace series as stated in this feature suggestion.
