I just bought both of my kids the Fitbit ace 2. When I created their profile in the family section it then explains to switch to kid view. When I switch to kid view it hangs out on the loading screen and eventually shuts down the app and I have to log in and try again. What is the problem Fitbit? I’ve updated my phone and the app, I’ve restarted everything and nothing is working. I bought these for my kids and I can’t use them because of this problem. When will I get an answer? I called the customer support number and my fiancé reached out on Fitbit support on Twitter and we still have no answers. Don’t you think this is something you should tell people about so we don’t spend money on a device that we can’t use????? HELP ME PLEASE! I specifically chose these over the garmin vivofit 2 because my fiancé and I use Fitbit but I’m really starting to regret that decision.

Sorry yes I do have a versa. My daughter has the Ace2.
I cannot switch to the ‘kid view’. It just sits idol in the thinking symbol. I’ve tried everything including making sure all apps are up to date, turning it on and off again, creating a new child within the family profile. It’s been 5 days already. Please help me.

I’ve tried both options to open kid view, and I just get the infinite spinning/loading. I’ve uninstalled & reinstalled the app and restarted my phone. I just can’t get into the kid’s view!

I am in the same boat- I have made sure my app is up to date, done a forced restart of my phone, and deleted and reinstalled the Fitbit app, but to no avail. I am upset because I just bought this for my daughter, and now a search shows that this is a repetitive issue with these trackers... not impressed.

Installed my son’s Ace2 today and it won’t switch to kids view. When it syncs with the app it says ‘Ace2’ in the upper left but shows stats from my Ionic. Now his tracker also says his steps are what mine reads, not what his were before everything got mixed up. When using the app on my device it says Ionic in the upper left and has my stats listed correctly. Tried deleting the apps on both devices, removing the trackers from the account and adding them again, rebooted both devices, and force quit the app while trying to switch to kids view. In addition to all this, I am forced to login each time I open the app on either device. Anyone else having these issues? It was a birthday gift for him yesterday and already on day one we’re not impressed.

I have talked with support twice and they basically told me I just need to wait for another Fitbit update. I told them so you are telling me the watch is pretty much useless because I can’t get into my kids account to see sleep goal, etc.

I have seen so many posts with the same issue that appear to have been going on for months. What is the timeline for resolution? It seems that nothing is being done to solve the issue at all.
please can you advise?

Thanks. Any idea of how long this will take to be resolved?
My daughters Ace2 is showing the wrong time too and I can’t change this until I can get into kid view. Is there another way to correct the time?

I have uninstalled the app/ hard reset the ace and restarted my phone but still not working.
Please advise of a fix, this seems to have been since the last update.

I’m also having the same issue. My son received a Fitbit ace for his birthday today but because I can’t switch the view i can’t set it up so it’s just sat in the box. If this isnt going to be resolved quickly then I might as well return it for a different brand. Is there a timeframe for when it will work?
thanks

I am also having this issue and it’s extremely frustrating as I have only just purchased myself a Fitbit so I can keep up with my daughter. Had I realised this is an ongoing problem I would have perhaps bought another brand suggested by my husband. Is there any idea of when this issue will be resolved?
thanks

My kids are extremely disappointed!

I too am having this exact same issue with weeks. I’ve tried everything. Logged out, uninstalled apps, everything is updated. It’s so deeply frustrating. Sometimes my app doesn’t acknowledge my child’s Fitbit. Please resolve this ASAP Fitbit! Every months there seems to be another issue.

If you are experiencing issues, like I have, to switching to kids view within the Fitbit app (and Ace 2 device showing wrong time), I was able to come up with a fix.
Using Windows 10 on my laptop, I was able to download the Fitbit app from the Microsoft store. I completely wiped the Ace 2 (plug device in, go to settings, clear data), then reset the Ace 2 (plugged in and hold button for 7 seconds). I then restarted everything and opened up the desktop computer app, and added a new device for the Ace 2. This got it back up and going again. I would still hope Fitbit is feverishly working to get an update to the app so we can actually sync to our devices again, outside of using the desktop computer app. This is 2020 not 2002! (maybe we all wished it was 2002 again). Hope this helps.
