Change child account to adult account?

My daughter recently turned 13 and I would like to change her account to a regular adult one. Can we do this without starting over? She desperately wants to keep her badges.

According to fitbit:

"WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY CHILD IS OLD ENOUGH FOR A FITBIT STANDARD ACCOUNT?

Your child must create a new Fitbit standard account. Note that your child’s previous Fitbit data won’t transfer to the new account. "

Am I the only one, that thinks this is such a cop out answer!!
So Fitbit does not plan on providing a better way to migrate the data to an adult account?

@Davidjre it seems that things have changed since those posts earlier in this thread. The help file now says:

"When your child reaches the minimum age required in your country, they can upgrade to a standard account in the Fitbit app. Your child can choose to upgrade their account at any time, or to keep their child account. Their previous Fitbit data is automatically transferred to the new account."

I see nowhere in my daughter’s iOS app that will allow her to upgrade. Anybody have any suggestions?
