I purchased a charge 6 for my 14-year-old. His Google account is under our Google family. When he tries to sync with the watch it asks for a parents assistance. The only options he is given after that are children's watches, IE the ace.
How do I adjust settings to allow him to sync his charge 6 to his phone?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Gg55756. I'm sorry to hear that your son hasn't been able to pair his Charge 6 with his account.
Age restrictions depend on the country of residence. You can check the: Age requirements on Google Accounts.
If your son can set up an adult account I would recommend removing him temporarily of the Google family, set up the Charge 6 and inviting him to join the family again.
