Child's Ace 3 battery drains in hours

My son got an ace 3 for Christmas (7 months ago) and it no longer keeps a charge for more than a few hours.  Charge overnight to 100% and its dead by noon.  It also charges suspiciously fast as well.  Tried restarting,  changing the settings but nothing worked.  Is warranty my last option?

May I know how this turned out for you? My son also received his for Christmas and it just started draining like this in the past day or so. My other 2 sons have the same device and have not experienced this, yet.

Ultimately just ended up getting a warranty replacement.
