Child too big for Fitbit Ace but does not have a smartphone

My son is too old for an ace (doesn't fit his wrist anymore) but he does not have a smart phone so can't have his own fitbit account. If I have a Charge 5 and we get him another fitbit product like an Alta or a Versa, and set it up on my account, can we both use our devices at the same time? Or will it confuse the statistics?

Alternatively, can I set up another account for him on my phone and then just log in and out of our accounts, depending on which statistics we want to see?

Each user needs separate account with own email.  To have both on same phone, would have to keep logging out of one account and into the other.  It certainly can be done, but I would think might become tiresome but maybe worth it.  If he becomes an avid Fitbit user and you don't want him to have own phone and becomes tiresome switching accounts, might eventually consider getting extra phone you could keep meeting minimal Fitbit requirements just for that; doesn't need phone plan, just wifi, except Fitbit seems to be raising requirements.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
