I’m concerned that one of my two child accounts has been compromised. I have two child accounts and one has been sending messages to the other. The text in the messages addresses the other child by name (username) but is far to advanced for the child in question. In addition there are plenty of inappropriate emojis.
How could this happen, as I didn’t think the child accounts have credentials? I’m sure my parent account is ok.

If your child account has been compromised, the parent account has to be also compromised.
The only way to gain access to a child account is to first access the parent account.
The security problem is with the parent account, not the child's account.

@PSak I agree with @Rich_Laue, since the parental account controls child accounts, the parent account would have to be compromised. You should definitely change your password. For more information on how an account could be taken over, please see this article.
