Got my son Ace, I have Alta. Set up family account but every time I check either account is shows the exact same steps, sleep for both.

@KannHar Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I apologize for the late response! Seems odd that both accounts show the same data. Please make sure that your phone has the most recent app version installed. If the app is up to date, please log out of the app, restart your phone, open the app again and log in. Finally, sync your tracker, then switch to your kid's view and sync your son's Ace. Once you've done this, verify if both accounts show your data accordingly.

Keep me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy

Thanks for your response. I tried what you suggested and have the same
result still. My dashboard shows when he has gone to bed, his steps from
yesterday etc. my alta while on my wrist shows the exact same steps as his
does. Do you think I need to completely delete the family account (and his
child account) and start over?

@KannHar Thank you for getting back! Regarding your question, you are correct, please try removing your family account and set up your son's Ace and see if his account stops showing the data that your own Alta displays.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

I'm having this same issue. My daughter just got an Ace but she does not have a phone to download the app to. I set it up under mine, but our steps seem to be syncing. I set up a child profile, but I don't see how to "tie" the ace to her kid profile.

@colleen714 Thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! Please make sure that your phone has the most recent app version installed. After this, when you need to sync your child's Ace, make sure to switch to kids view. Please check out this help article, which explains how to manage your Family account.

Let me know if the issue persists and I'll be happy to assist you! Smiley Happy

This earlier thread covers the same issue. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a solution yet but because there are more participants I am redirecting to it.

Hi, I hope someone can help me. My family recently joined the Fitbit community. My daughter received a Fitbit Ace for Christmas. I followed the instructions and create my account (parent/guardian) and then set up her fitbit in the family account. Everything was going fine until I decided to get myself a Fitbit. I added my Charge 3 to my account. Now the data for both Fitbits is merged. For example, yesterday my daughter came home from school and the trampoline park, and was super excited to have exceeded 12,000 steps (fireworks and all!) As we were looking at it, all of a sudden it went to 9,000 which is what was on my tracker. My dashboard on my iOS app also displays her sleep activity, not mine. Finally, my dashboard now only seems to show the Charge 3 in the top left, but if I go into the Account area (top right) I see both devices (plus links for my profile and My Family).

Thank you in advance for the help. I have a kid frustrated her old man is keeping her step count down!!!

I'm still having a lot of problems. I have set up a family account and set
up my son's ACE device several times now. Sometimes I can see his results,
other times it says he has no activity. At times I have to login all over
again, often when I switch to kid view it gets stuck on switching to kids
view indefinitely. Its not very user friendly - is there a person I can
speak with about this? A phone number.

I am joining this thread because I have the same problem (I had started another one which I will try to delete or point here). My daughter has an Ace, I have a Charge 3. It seems that my tracker overwrites the Ace. When her tracker (Ace) syncs with my phone App (iOS) it takes on the step count from my Charge 3. Also the dashboard only shows my Charge 3 as a device in the upper left, but both are visible in the Account section (via the icon on the top right).

I have logged out of the app, removed the app, powered down the phone, reinstalled, and no change.

Same mich8261 - whoever is closest to my iphone, that fitbit overwrites!
Although only my sleep pattern shows, it won't show my son's. The only
thing I haven't tried is deleting the whole app and starting over. My App
is updated and I have tried shutting my phone off and on.

@mich8261 I merged your posts to keep things in order. There is a Mod here monitoring the issue,.

I think it’s fixed now - it does kick me right out at times when I’m switching to kidview forcing me to login again...but otherwise working

I see that others have reported that the merging of data has resolved but I’m still having issues with my data being overridden by my daughter’s. I’ve done all the suggested things but still the issue is persistent

I’m now having this problem. My daughter’s ace is showing all the data from my charge 3. We’ve both had our fit bits for over a year and it’s only now become a problem.

I too am having this problem.  My daughter and I have both had our fitbits for quite some time and never had this issue, but now both of ours are always showing the same information on them.

I have the same problem ! It is so frustrating for my active 8 year old to tell me when I get home from work that he has 20,000 steps only to hold up his watch and it changes to show my 8,000 steps.  Somehow it is synching my data to his watch when I walk in the door. Really disappointing for him . Makes me want to return it.

Same thing for me too, my data overriding the Ace. first time in a year of having both watches

I had to delete the app on all of our devices and reinstall everything from scratch. It finally fixed the problem
