I bought an Ace 2 for myself, set up my profile but I then had to create a child account for the Ace 2. How can I now transfer the pairing to my adult account and also remove the child account?

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I understand your concern and recommend following the instructions in this help article to delete the Fitbit family account: How do I delete my Fitbit family account? Make sure you've switched from kid view to parent view.
If you would like to pair another Fitbit device to your Fitbit account, please follow the steps in How do I set up a replacement device or add a second device to my account?
