Okay fitbit. This suggestion was first made in 2018 and you have yet to do anything about it. Open up all devices for children and to be added to family accounts for kids. There are multiple postings that have been under consideration for years. If your not going to do it ever then just tell us and possibly give us a reason to help smooth things over and get it over with instead of just stringing everyone along!

@jennablaze - Child accounts have special protections to keep that account safe for children. They also have parental control. Therefore, the Ace trackers (designed for children with hardware and software to allow these protective features) are the only ones that can be linked to a child account. Because of this, is not possible to set up other devices to child accounts. Also, please keep in mind that due to federal regulations, children must be at least 13 years old to have an adult account.
If you would like to add your voice to the suggestion of allowing more devices on a child account please vote for, and comment on, this feature suggestion .

Yes it is possible. Fitbit should be able to make it where things are controlled by the parent through the app or certain features are automatically turned off on profiles of a certain age or under. Fitbit looks at things the wrong way in this case. It's not the actual device that needs the limitations, it's the profiles through the app that do. You'd have alot of happy customers and people would stop switching to other companies if you could just manage to get it done. There's a crapton of customers on here who fell the same way and you guys just shuffle our suggestions. Makes us feel like Fitbit doesn't actually listen.
