Difficulties creating a child account-Ace 3

I just bought my daughter an Ace 3 and downloaded the app on my phone to get it set up for her. I cannot get passed the "Add Child" screen because literally everything I have tried to enter for a username either says it is taken or cannot have spaces, punctuation, etc.

 

I have tried anything and everything and it is still not letting me through to the next step.

I would recommend logging out from the Fitbit app, rebooting your phone and log back in.

 

Please make sure to follow these instructions when creating a child account.
