If I already have a FitBit account as an adult with an Alta HR will I be able to turn my existing account into a family account if I purchase the Ace for my daughter?

I believe it does.  Once the Ace is paired to your account, you can set up a family account for her.  Basically, she would have an Alta, but it wouldn't have Smart Track for her.

You're welcome.  With the family account, she can still participate in challenges with you, but she won't have access to the full Fitbit Community.  She will still have to come to you, even if she has a question that she wants to post on the forums.
