Family account - delete child's Fitbit account

I have my two children showing as "friends" as they have been added to my account via the family app thing.  They no longer have their kid fitbits and I'm wanting to delete them both but it just say error - failed.  How can I get the both removed please.

I have followed the directions to delete the account 3 or 4 times. It says an email has been sent to me for confirmation but I never get the email.

No I don’t either, I just ignore it now, although it is very annoying

@Teejaye7 Thanks for the details shared in your post. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. 

 

If you're not receiving the confirmation email, please confirm if you have unticked email notifications for Family Account:

 

  • Open the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab, and tap your profile picture.
  • Tap "Notifications".
  • Make sure that notifications for "Family account" and the email notifications are turned on and sync from the Fitbit app.

I also recommend checking your spam and junk folders for the email.

Ok, so I’ve tried this multiple times on my iPhone SE (2016) and it’s not working on the manual you recommended. I swipe left and all it does it bring me back to the previous page.

If there is just 1 child in your Family Account, you can delete the Family account instead of the child’s Fitbit account. For instructions please visit this article and open the menu "How do I delete my Fitbit family account?".

Hey, I tried this and it brought me up to the same article and I’m just getting the same result. I also tried clicking the three dots first and still it said that I still have a child and I need to remove all family members before deleting my family.
