Family account not in aop

I never had an original fitibit account. I signed up using my Google account.

We bought an Ace3 for my 8yr old son and the create family account wants there in the app.

My children already had Google accounts and are linked in family link but no option create family account .

I deleted all app data and uninstalled the app. Rebooted my phone and reinstalled and still not there.

I ended up creating a new user on my pixel phone for my son so I could create a fitbit account for him. That got the Fitbit working but I can't see his account information in my Fitbit app and I can't manage his account from my app.  This means I have to log into his account on my personal pixel phone everytime he wants to see his data.

Why can't I create a family account in Fitbit and link my kids account??

I am in the same boat - very frustrating to see that this issue was reported multiple times in the past three years and we are STILL seeing it. I have a Fitbit account and have my Google Pixel Watch connected. Today, my daughter was given a fitbit Ace 3 and I have spent the last two hours trying logging out, uninstalling reinstalling, etc the app to get it to show the 'Create Family Account' option, but it does not exist in my menu. Of course, when I try to connect to Chat, I get an error message.

They have got to find a way to solve these bugs with their app....and having to login to his account to see his data is a bit ridiculous. That should never have been the way the app was set up.

Use the Family Link app and add a child from scratch, making a new account. Express settings is fine.
Then open the FitBit app and log in with the new child account you just created. It worked for me.

The issue with this method is that the child account isn't my child's Google account that I already use for content restrictions and other things.

If you have a restricted child account it doesn't let you log into the Fitbit with it. The message it gives you instructs you to connect it with a fitbit family account.  It seems that family account option isn't there for everyone. My guess is that if you had a fitbit account before Google forced you to use Google logins the option is there but once they went to Google only accounts, for some reason that option doesn't show in the app or online.
