My daughter got an Ace for Christmas and we want to set it up for her. I have gone into my account on the app on my phone and created a family account. Do I add her from there or do I log in as me on her phone and add her there? Also if the app on her phone is logged in as me does that mean she will see all of my details? We have the Fitbit scales and I don’t particularly want her seeing my weight details!
I’ve looked at the online help from Fitbit and they don’t address what the child will see on their app.

Hi, @Willowfae, if your child has her own phone, you may want to set up the Ace for her on that so she can get her own notifications, alarms, etc.
Once you have set it up under Child View she will not be able to return to Parent View and see your stats etc unless she has your password. Therefore without your permission she will only be able to see her own information and the running step total for the week, as she would for any other Fitbit friend.
I hope she enjoys her new Fitbit. Happy holidays!

Thanks. She does have a phone. When I set it up on her phone do I set up her own account with her own email address or do I log onto her phone using my account?

Hi, @Willowfae, only persons age 12 and under are allowed to have their own Fitbit accounts due to federal regulations protecting children's privacy online, so you will need to log in with your own account using your email address and set her up with a child account.
If she is 12 or older she can have her own account, using her own email address.
