Fit Bit Ace Battery Drained within 48 Hours

Hiya,

My daughter got her Fit Bit Ace from Argos as a birthday present this month. Her best friend has a Fit Bit Ace and only has to charge it every 5 days.

Since the very beginning we are only getting about 48 hours out of it, before it needs to be charged again. There was a full battery at 9am on Thursday morning, needed to be charged again on Saturday and again on Monday and so on.

I have been following the forum over the last week and see that a number of people have similar issues and that there are a number of work arounds.

So we have tried the following:

* Turn off Auto Sync - It’s Turned off already

* No Alarms Set

* Cleaned the back in case there was Dirt in it

* Tried different USB Ports

* Cleaned the pins and lined up exactly to create a strong connection between the device and the charger

It is very disappointing that this should be happening and my daughter is definitely not at all impressed.

Obviously the product is within warranty as we bought it this month, March. So can you tell me what’s the next step?

Thanks for your help

NOTE: Posted this issue at the end of another post yesterday, it was just marked as SOLVED. So I have added a separate Note on it, as it has not been solved.

I would contact Support, @Galway.  It seems like there could be something wrong either with the charger or with the device itself. When you contact Support (link is at the bottom of the page), please tell them all the troubleshooting you've already done, as this will save everyone time.

@Galway It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response and I'm sorry to hear that your daughter's Ace battery is not lasting as long as it should. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

If you haven't done so, please restart the Ace as described in this help article. This will refresh the tracker internally. After this, monitor the Ace's behavior and see if the battery lasts longer than 48 hours.

Thank you for your help @DramaQueenDiva!

Looking forward to your response! Smiley Happy
