To get my daughter's fitbit ace 3 to the correct time (weird it can't do it itself) ... I decided to connect it to the mobile app but apparently my iOS was too old. So my wife's iOS is more up to date .... I installed the Fitbit app, logged into my FitBit account and paired the Ace 3 to my wife's phone by removing the Ace 3 from my Family account and attempting to connect the Ace to my wife's phone.
It would detect and i typed in the 4 digit code. All looked well but I kept getting stuck on "Connecting to FitBit" (displayed on the ios FitBit app).
Apparently the key was to wait 10 minutes. My experience is that if something like that doesnt work in 5 minutes it wont work.
Patience is a virtue. Ideally the device would display that it is actually doing something so that people will wait that long.
