Fitbit Ace 2 firmware won't update and Fred clock disappeared

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My sons Ace 2 firmware will not update.

When i check the current version of it in the app it shows 20001.63.5 which i presume is an old firmware as the current one seems to be 1.88.11.

I have logged out of the fitbit app and back in again. I have deleted the Ace 2 from the account and re added it but no updates are coming?

Any ideas?....

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @mpc28.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about the firmware update on your son's Ace 2 and the Fred clock face not available in the app. I would like to advise that the new firmware is rolled out in stages to ensure a smooth process for all users. Just keep the app up to date and once it's available to you, go ahead and download it. You can check the steps to update the device at How do I update my Fitbit device?

Regarding the issue with Fred clock face, it has been reported to our team and they are already investigating it and looking for a resolution. Your patience and understanding while this is resolved is appreciated.

I'll be around if you have any questions.

Just bought the Ace 2 for my son and we was very excited about the “monster watch”. But he got very disappointed when it was not possible to install. The Fred clock face simply isn’t among the available options 😞

Not good style to sell something that is not in the package 👎👎

I hope you fix this asap - otherwise we will have to return it and buy an Garmin instead...

Hello and thanks for your reply,

I understand your comments about the firmware being gradually rolled out but as I mentioned, my sons fitbit ace 2 is currently firmware 1:63.5,

Since that firmware update there has been a further 2 updates (1.63.12 & 1.63.18) not including the latest update rolling out now 1.88.11.

My fitbit app is kept up to date and I sync the ace 2 daily so why have i not received the previous 2 firmware updates prior to this latest one rolling out now?

Am i doing something wrong?
