Fitbit Ace 3 isn't turning on when in the wristband

My daughter received the Fitbit Ace 3 for Easter and it will not turn on when inside the wristband. Once I take it out it will turn on. So frustrating. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @K804,

 

The screen is supposed to black out  ("turn off" as you mentioned) while being worn.  It can be woken up again by either tapping it or moving her wrist.

 

If you sync it to her account in the app and everything transfers, there's nothing wrong with her tracker.
