Fitbit Ace 3 not showing sleep stages

Hi,

I got an Ace 3 for my kid and although it tracks sleep, it never shows sleep details (REM, deep sleep etc). I tried it with 2 kids, changing hands, modifying wristband, restarting etc. Nothing works. My understanding is this model should do this. Does anybody have this problem? Is there something that could be done?

Although I have 2 other Fitbits in the family, I begin to have doubts about paying three times the price of other smart bands and having things not working.

Thank you.

True, the switch to the child app is terrible, one has to authenticate at each switch back and forth, it is crazy.

I too, am thinking of abandoning Fitbit, it is just more expensive with less functions. Maybe a few years ago they were better than others, but now, it seems like every chinese smart band is better and cheaper, better battery, better screen etc.

Hello all

i just purchased the Ace 3 at the weekend. My son wore it to bed last night, the device said ‘no data’ and no data on the app. Is this what everyone is talking about as I will return if it’s not able to track sleep.

Thanks

Hello @Hardlo74

actually not, in this thread we are speaking about having simplified sleep tracking rather than sleep stages. Your case is even worse as it appears your Ace 3 isn't tracking the sleep. However also my son Ace 3 shows no sleep data on tracker but actually it is recorded by app, it is another mysterious bug that is affecting many users and that Fitbit seems not interested to solve.

Hi, For my daughter's Fitbit Ace3 I've found the following works to get the sleep data sync'd to her watch by logging out and in again (don't ask me how or why but it works for us).....

Within Bluetooth range, and with the fitbit app in kids mode ... Click 'switch to parent view' in the account settings. Log in. Sync to the watch. Click 'switch to kid view' from the account menu. Sync and ask your child to check their watch. It takes a second to appear and then hey presto! Hope this works for you.

Be warned, you migtend up havito do this every morning!

Hello everybody, thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community.

The Fitbit Ace 3 is able to track sleep pattern (time asleep, restless, and awake). It doesn't track sleep stages (light sleep, deep sleep, and REM) because it doesn't have heart-rate tracking. Our team is constantly working to improve our products and services but at the moment there are no plans to add heart-rate tracking to Ace Series as stated here.

You can find more information about the different features included in the Fitbit Ace 3 in the Official Page.

I am going to close this thread because it became off-topic, but if there is anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to start a new topic.

Have a nice day.
