Fitbit Ace 3 touch sensors not working consistently

Hi,

My daughter got a fitbit Ace 3 (minions version) for her birthday 2 days ago and it is not consistently responding to the touch sensors on the sides. What can I do please or is this a warranty issue?

We are having a similar issue.  Fitbit had me reboot the device but I change for me.  The buttons respond when it is not in the band, but once the device is placed in the band the buttons are very difficult to press.
