Fitbit Ace battery symbol w/ exclamation

My daughter got her Ace yesterday. We got it all set up and it was fine. Today the dreaded empty battery symbol with an exclamation point is showing on her Fitbit screen and it won’t do anything. After google searches everything is saying to push buttons to reset, but Ace has no buttons.

I’d love some help!

Thank you!

Hello, I am having the same problem. I have tried all the fixes. It began that my son's fitbit wouldn't sync anymore, and I tried to reset it and that didn't work. I tried many days in a row. Then, the fitbit ran out of battery again, and when I recharged it, it had the battery with exclamation point, and nothing will reset it. I'd really appreciate being contacted by customer support as well.

Thank you

Hi there, I have the same problem, with my sons Fitbit ace, battery symbol with exclamation mark. Can you refer my issue to customer support person as well please. His Fitbit is only 4 months old, and now he thinks he has wasted the pocket money he saved to buy it. Thanks Murray

This is what happened to me and it’s worth sharing.

We had just bought some new straps (third party cheapies from eBay) and the straps must have been out by a fraction of a mom and would not connect properly. We took off the strap and it connected perfectly. It’s with a try either way.

Good luck 🙂

Might not work but i left my daughters fitbit on the charger all day and it works now.. i think its a default to the ace. If you let the battery die out that exclamation point shows up but if i just charge it all day seems to work.. hope it helps

Hi, it seems we're now having the same issue. Ace was bought August and gifted/used October 19th. Had worked well until this week when battery died and since we've had the exclamation mark. We have charged from different points, reset as per this thread and cleaned charging pins with alcohol :- still nothing.

Any further advice?

hmmm I don't know maybe the battery picture showing that it dosnt have any charge in the battery means that you need to charge the fit bit, idk it's just I guess.

I'm having the EXACT same problem with my daughters Ace. I updated the firmware last Friday and then this started the next time it died. I've done all the usual steps multiple times.

My son got his Fitbit Ace last August for his birthday. We have just started having these problems with the charging etc.

We had a black screen yesterday morning and just couldn’t get the fit bit to come on. Eventually after doing numerous resets and giving it a good charge it did come back to life. It showed 100% battery. My son wore it the rest of yesterday but when he got up this morning the screen was black.

The charge usually lasts 5 days.

I’ve plugged it back into charge but just get the explanation mark and cannot get it to come on. I’ve tried the resets but it just goes back off!
Not sure what to do; thought it would have lasted longer than 9 months.
